Duck feathers: even though there is a legend that hamburgers from McDonald’s contain cow eyeballs, this myth is not proven to be true. However, the Baked Hot Apple Pie is proven to contain duck feathers or some ingredient that comes from them, as strange as it may seem.

Pink slime: McDonald’s McNuggets are supposed to be made of chicken, but the truth is: they’re made of chicken bones and chicken carcass, parts from chicken no one eats. That’s not all: the mixture called pink slime contains ammonia so that it would remain bacteria-free and petroleum in small doses as well.

Silly putty plastic: any food in McDonald’s, or in any fast food restaurant, which is fried, like Filet-O-Fish or fries, contains dimethylpolysiloxane, a silicone used in production of stretching toys. This ingredient is used because it prevents the oil in the fryer to make foam.

Wood (cellulose): Cellulose, which is processed wood pulp, is used in the fast food industry because it has the feature of thickening and stabilizing the food, can serve as a fat and can boost the quantity of fiber.

Petroleum-derived preservatives (TBHQ): tertiary butylhydroquinone – TBHQ, a petroleum derivation, is used in like 18 products in McDonald’s, from the Fruit and Walnut Salad to cakes and the McNuggets.

Soil fertilizer (ammonium sulfate): this ingredient is part of the bakery products in many fast food restaurants and bakeries, because the chemical industry sells it as yeast for bread.

The fast food industry had made about $6 billion 40 years ago and $200 billion nowadays. We see that all those disgusting and harmful ingredients they use in the food they sell bring them more and more money every day.
